The first lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has asked for forgiveness from Nigerians.
Per what we gathered, she asked for forgiveness from Nigerians after her husband, Muhammadu Buhari failed to elevate the lives of Nigerians during his eight years as president.
She made this known at a special Juma’at service and public lecture to celebrate the nation’s 62nd independence anniversary.
The event was held at the National Mosque Conference Hall in Abuja on Friday, September 30 and it was dubbed, ‘Shura: The Islamic Foundation of True Democracy’.
In her submission, she said;
“Your Excellencies, distinguished guests, ladies, and gentlemen, as you may be aware that this government is making its exit and perhaps witnessing the last anniversary of the regime, I ask Nigerians to pray for a successful election and transition programme.”
Meanwhile, the first lady supported the call for the execution of Abdulmalik Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Academy in Kawaji, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano state who admitted to killing five-year-old pupil Hanifa Abubakar with rat poison.
Tanko, who confessed to kidnapping Hanifa in December 2021 and demanding a 6 million Naira ransom from her family, was paraded before the media on Friday, January 21. He claimed he killed and buried Hanifa because he was afraid he would be apprehended shortly.
