Final year SHS students attack Graphic reporter with knives (Photos).
Damalie Emmanuel Pacome,a reporter with the Daily Graphic, has been attacked by means of some students of Bright Senior High School in Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The college students attacked the journalist and his team with Knives, cutlasses, sticks and stones.
Mr. Pacome and his crew in the early hours of today, August 6, visited the college to affirm reviews of attacks on invigilators by way of students.
The college students who desired their shameful act to be a secret, straight away seized Pacome’s telephone upon his arrival. Sensing danger, the Journalist took to his heels for protection but was once pursued for about 15 minutes via the mob of college students from the school toward the Kukurantumi township.
Some of the students reportedly jumped on a motorcycle to pass the Journalist on the way and hit him countless times with sticks, seized his bag and attempted to lynch him but a Commercial driver rescued him into his vehicle.
The Journalist is visibly injured with cuts on the face and part of the body.The journalist has lodged an legitimate file at the Kukurantumi Police station the place he has been issued Police Medical forms for cure at the Community Hospital at Akyem Kukurantumi.
Reports advocate that the college students were heard announcing “we have paid Ghc6000 bribes every you Journalists favor us to fail. We will beat you up”.
