I’m very sorry- Man whose comment on social media led to the death of Ghanaian musician and sound engineer Yaw Geng apologizes profusely


The young man who savagely asked Yaw Geng, a budding musician and sound engineer who hails from Kumasi, to go and kill himself after he posted a suicide note on Facebook has apologized profusely.


Yaw Geng left a post suspected to be a suicide note on his Facebook account on October 16, 2021.



He wrote;


Sometimes things don’t go as planned and there is nothing you could do aside giving up. we are only humans and we are not meant to be here forever. There is a question I’ve been asking myself a billion times ….why are some of us born into suffering and others with a silver spoon in their mouth…The world ain’t fair.

His post struck a chord with netizens some of whom duly encouraged him not to give up in life. Unfortunately, one thoughtless guy called Papion Gh popped and asked the lad to go and kill himself if he was fed up with Life.

However, when words started making rounds online that the young man has indeed carried out his threat and had ended it all, Papion GH rendered an unqualified apology to Yaw Geng and his family members. Here’s what he posted;
