My dream since 2012 has been to make Bawumia Ghana’s President – NAPO
rumors that he wanted to be Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate.

Since meeting Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in 2012, Energy Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has said that his ultimate goal has been to see that Bawumia is elected President of Ghana.
With Ghana’s current state, NAPO, as it is known in politics, thinks the nation needs an intelligent guy like Bawumia to lift it to new heights.
“Since 2012, I have devoted all of my efforts to ensuring that Dr. Bawumia will one day lead Ghana as president. I have never in a million years imagined being his running mate. I don’t support Dr. Bawumia’s work for that reason. I am convinced and confident that, given the state of Ghana at the present, we require a leader like Dr. Bawumia to move the country forward.” He disclosed.
He refuted, however, rumors that he wanted to be Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate.
He claims that it is concerning because people believe the vice president is trying to convince them to become his running mate when in fact, he has not even announced his desire to run for office.
“The man hasn’t even indicated that he wants to lead our nation as its Flagbearer and then as its President. We were only here to go with him to Otumfuo’s Akwasidae. I was working for the government a few weeks back when I heard someone call me names and suggest that I wanted to be the vice president. How can someone lobby to be Vice President when we haven’t even chosen our flagbearer?, NAPO made this statement on Pure FM in Kumasi.
