The Newmont Akyem Mines has appointed a renovated Library at Akim Oda in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region to pull in more perusers and students to the middle.
Mr Joshua Mortoti, the General Manager of Newmont Akyem Mines, said the mines and an actualizing accomplice, United Way-Ghana have marked a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ghana Library Authority to advance perusing society in Ghana.

He said this during the authorizing of the repaired Library at Akim Oda.
The renovating included re-material, painting and association of funnel borne water to the library.
Aside from the remodel, the mining organization likewise gave more than 1,000 understanding books, a tricycle for portable library, 30 seats and work areas to the library.
Mr Mortoti communicated the expectation that the renovated office will light a long lasting enthusiasm for perusing inside the network to clear the way to a more promising time to come.
Mr Evans Korletey, the Eastern Regional Director of Ghana Library Authority, said a learning situation was an extraordinary resource and furthermore offered a constructive feel to spur individuals to peruse.
The Akim Oda Library had 716 enrollment before the finish of 2019 and from January to February, 2020, it had recorded 241 new individuals.
