Ayuba Adabo, a suspected rapist, was apprehended after apparently taking a nap after the act.
The 34-year-old allegedly raped a twenty-five-year-old woman on Sapele’s Amagiya road.
According to DSP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, the offender grabbed the victim and pulled her to his apartment while severely inebriated. Before forcing intercourse with her, he threatened to shoot her.
Following the act, he slipped into a deep sleep.

“The victim on noticing that the suspect was fast asleep sneaked out and ran to Sapele division where she reported the case. Consequently, patrol team/detectives were drafted to the scene. The suspect was promptly arrested,” Edafe said in the statement.
In other news, sad news reaching Ghgossip this evening suggests that death has laid it’s icy hands on Nomthi, the wife of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder of the Fountain of Life Church in Lagos.
The clergyman took to social media this evening to disclose the sad news and also mourn his wife. According to reports, Nomthi died today November 9 after a long battle with cancer.
In a heartbreaking post, Pastor Taiwo disclosed that she loved her with all her heart and Nomthi gave him 11 beautiful years of marriage and their union was blessed with two handsome boys.
”With deep regret and gratitude to God, I have to announce the passing of my wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.
She battled cancer for the better part of two years, she stood on the Word of God, and she fought.
She gave me 11 beautiful years of marriage and two wonderful boys, who I know will be very significant in life.
I loved her with all my heart, but who am I to fight with the will of God.
The truth is, at one point in our lives, we all will have to say goodbye. So for now, till we meet again in glory, Goodbye Nomthi”
